少儿英语故事：毛竹

Once upon a time, there was a bamboo plant that grew slowly for the first four years, barely growing by 3 centimeters. However, starting from its fifth year, it began to grow vigorously at a rate of 30 centimeters per day. In just six weeks, it soared to a height of 15 meters.

Unbeknownst to many, during those initial four years, the bamboo had been silently expanding its roots underground, spreading them over hundreds of square meters of soil.

Life is similar. When we work hard and seem to get little in return, it's often because we are planting the seeds of success. Don't fret about the lack of immediate rewards, as they are merely the roots of your future achievements. With patience and perseverance, you will eventually reach heights that others can only dream of.
